Health and Safety

Covid-19 Response

Taylorsville Baseballs number one priority is the health and safety of our players and their families. In order to allow our players to begin playing safely we have outlined a number of rules/ game changes that we will be enforcing to keep everyone safe.

Game/ Player Safety Rules

·       Any visitors, Coach or Players who have any of the following will not be allowed to attend games or be allowed at the park:

·       Fever in past 7 days

·       Any form of Cough in past 7 days.

·       Any contact with a known person who has Covid19 in past 15 days

·       No Players will be allowed to share equipment. If you player does not have their own batting helmet please contact the league at tvillebaseballmom@yahoo.com about getting a Helmet loaned to them from the league for this season.

·       Players will not be sitting in the dugouts where we cannot have social distancing. Each player will have an assigned spot on the bleachers (Min of 6 feet apart) where they will sit when they are not on the field or up to bat. (They will keep their bag and belongings at their spot.) They will move to the area directly outside of the fence opening when they are “in the hole”, They will move to the dugout only when they are next up to bat (on deck). This will keep the game moving but keep players distanced.

·       Players and coaches are the only people allowed on playing field any time. Only 3 coaches allowed on field during games.

·       Players will be required to sanitize their hands when coming off of the field and going onto the field.

·       Balls will be sanitized between innings. Foul balls will be sanitized before returning to play.

·       We know it will be hard for some of our younger players but we have to make sure that everyone follows the Distancing rules. Any Player not conforming to the social distancing rules will be given one verbal warning. If they continue to ignore the rules they will be asked to leave the fields for the remainder of the current game.

·       All bleachers will be sanitized in between games.

·       Each player will be permitted their own Water Bottle (no Sharing) but no Seeds or Food will be allowed with the players.

·       Each team will have one scorekeeper or one scoreboard runner (when scoreboards are available) for each game (home team scorekeeper/ away team scoreboard runner). These Scorekeepers will sit in their own chairs behind home plate a minimum of 6 feet apart.

·       Players will be required to wash or sanitize their hands when coming off of the field and going onto the field.

·       Teams will not be allowed to line up after each game to high five.  They will instead do a cheer and tip their caps to each other across the field.

·       Extra time will be scheduled between games to allow everyone time to exit the fields. We ask that everyone exits the fields after their game as quickly as possible. We ask that you do not enter the fields until the players and spectators from the previous game have all exited.

·       AA, AAA and Majors will have NO crossover games this season. All games will be played at Vista Fields.

Spectator Safety Rules
